I'm not an AI researcher. I'm a product builder who needed to understand why LLMs work, not just how to use them. Over three years, I pulled on that thread and it turned into a set of building blocks that felt like they stacked together in layers. Each block below links to a post I wrote along the way.

PS: This is not a comprehensive map of everything you'd need to know about LLMs. It's what I found prominent enough to make an impression, organized into the hierarchy that formed in my head as I learned.
